On behalf of the IRCC team, we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude for your participation in our recent Anand Bazaar event on January 29th. The weather was fabulous, the sky was adorned with kites, and hundreds of people attended. The event was a huge success and we couldn’t have done it without your support.
We were delighted to see so many members of our community come together to enjoy delicious food, fly kites, play games, celebrate Lohri, and socialize with one another. The 10+ home chefs displayed their culinary talents by offering more than 20 delicious options, and the new youth club was elected. It was a fun day for the whole family and the kids learnt about these culturally significant harvest festivals.
Congratulations to the new Youth Club Board:
President – Shaan Mistry
Vice Presidents – Siri Mullapudi and Romir Mohan
Treasurer – Neel Mirpuri
Secretary – Chaitanya Singh Verma
The American and Indian flags hoisted and overlooking the entire event added to the spirit of the event. We also had music, dancing and Lohri that kept the energy high throughout the day. Families even set up their own picnic spots outside the pavilion, enjoying the perfect South Florida weather.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to our enthusiastic home-based vendors, and volunteers for their contribution towards the event. Their dedication and support made it possible for us to host such a wonderful event.
Keep an eye out over the next few days and weeks for photos and videos taken at the event. The best place to look for photos is in the folder 2023-Events in our Smugmug site at https://irccflorida.smugmug.com/.
We are excited to announce that our next event is Holi on March 12th, at Miramar Regional Park. More details will follow closer to the Holi event. We look forward to seeing you all there.
