DESCRIPTION:Join us for the IRCC Youth Club Food Drive\, a one-time community service event to support local families in need and earn up to 4 hours of service on Saturday\, May 31\, 2025\, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 20200 Saddle Club Rd\, Weston\, FL. We invite IRCC youth members (Please ensure that your membership is up-to-date) or any new member who would like to join the IRCC Youth Club (become a member here) to come together and contribute non-perishable food items. This food drive is for Feeding South Florida. Your coming together for this noble cause fosters a spirit of compassion and teamwork among the IRCC youth club members. Please choose at least FOUR non-perishable food items from the list below (you can bring more)\, and bring them to the event. \n\nCanned soups/stews\nNut butters\nBags or cans of dried beans and peas\nWhole grain cereals\nBags of plain rice and pasta\nBarley and quinoa\nCanned fruits\nCanned vegetables\nFruit jams\n\nParticipants can expect an engaging atmosphere filled with community spirit and opportunities to make a meaningful impact. Your generosity can help us make a significant difference in the lives of our neighbors. \nPlease bring your favorite snacks to share with participants. We expect 30-40 people to join the event. You will earn three hours of Community Service for your participation. Additionally\, if you speak for two minutes to share your ideas on how to make the IRCC Youth Club more engaging to help our local community and what role you can take\, you will earn a total of 4 hours for attending the event. DESCRIPTION:Diwali Grand Celebration – (Festival of Lights)\nDate/Time: November 21\, 2026 \nVenue: TBD \nThis is our flagship event held in celebration of the Indian Festival of Lights called Diwali. It is our organization’s mission to spread awareness about Indian culture in our diverse local community. We provide an opportunity to children and adults to showcase their talent and knowledge of Indian culture on the stage. Over 1000 children and adults perform on stage in various segments of the cultural program including high school and college level fusion and folk dance competitions. We always have several local dignitaries from nearby cities and counties joining us and experiencing the event\, often with their own families. Visitors get to enjoy cultural displays from all parts of India with music and dance performances in different categories such as Bhangra\, Raas/ Garba/ Folk and Bollywood/ Fusion. In the last five years\, this event has proved to be a major attraction in Broward County with over 60 vendor booths and thousands of attendees each year! \nIn addition to the extravagant cultural entertainment program and competitions\, numerous vendors display and sell food\, clothes\, jewelry and accessories\, and services.
